Our mission is simple: kids helping kids. The formative high school years can be a period of significant stress and anxiety, driven by academic demands, social pressures, and personal challenges. While mental health is widely recognized as a vital aspect of overall well-being and guidance is often provided on overcoming mental health issues, one important element is frequently overlooked—peer-to-peer support. Teenagers tend to respond differently when mental health information is shared by slightly older peers, experiencing less shame or stigma in these conversations. Therefore, the goal of our program is for older students to reassure incoming high schoolers that “It’s Okay NOT To Be Okay” and to equip them with valuable resources for support if needed.
